Liam, Queens Arson Survivor, Celebrates Another Birthday: A Remarkable Journey of Courage and Hope

Nasir,BapsnewAnother special milestone has arrived in the life of Liam Dominguez, the brave child who miraculously survived a devastating arson attack in Queens, New York.News by Ibnnews.On July 10, 2019, a tragic fire in East Elmhurst claimed the lives of Liam’s mother, Elizabeth Rodriguez; his six-year-old sister, Emma Dominguez; and his grandfather, Claudio Rodriguez. Firefighters found 10-month-old Liam in his mother’s arms. In her final moments, his mother had tried to protect her infant son with her own body.

Liam suffered burns over more than 95 percent of his body, and doctors initially feared that his chances of survival were less than one percent. He was later transferred to the specialized burn unit at Shriners Hospital in Galveston, Texas, where he underwent extensive treatment, multiple surgeries, and a long rehabilitation journey.

Against extraordinary odds, Liam survived and continues to grow stronger. His story has also created a lasting bond with the FDNY firefighters who helped rescue him. His birthday celebrations with those firefighters have become deeply meaningful moments, reminding everyone of the incredible journey he has overcome.
